Corporate Business Script Coverage + Platforms - Coverfly, WeScreenplay, ScreenCraft, The Script Lab

This news is already cycled around but if you missed it, well-known script coverage and submission platforms WeScreenplay, ScreenCraft and The Script Lab were very suddenly shuddered by their parent company. That parent company, Industry Arts, owns other submission sites like Coverfly and FilmFreeway. Strong insider information says Coverfly will be ending most or all of its services soon. Will they be absorbed into FilmFreeway or another outcome? That remains to be seen. Regardless it is a sign of the times that parallels all of the entertainment industry’s contraction.

If you are looking for top sites for coverage on your screenplay or TV Pilot, the top two options left are BlackList and ISA (Intn’l Screenwriters Association) We have three contests on ISA.

The screenwriting business is tough, just like many other art careers. Corporate business not only plays into the sale of actual scripts, but what we’re seeing here with the closing of three, maybe four top script rating services, shows that big business and corporate finance can trickle down to the education and craft side deeply.

We do offer Script Coverage through our contests. You can submit on ISA or through FilmFreeway. And certainly recommended ISA as well. We’d love to see what your working on. We understand the grind of the writer’s life. And we’re here to HELP!
